Clare County Food Pantry

When money is tight, putting food on the table can be hard. Our Clare County Food Pantry offers groceries and personal care items to help bridge the gap.

Who We Serve

​The pantry is for households in need of food assistance.
 
You can visit the pantry once per month. If you need more food support between visits, check the More Food Resources section further down this page.
More Food Resources

What You Can Get

​Based on what we have available, you may receive:
  • Shelf-stable items like canned goods, pasta, and cereal
  • Frozen or refrigerated items when available
  • Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, or toothpaste
 
Items vary from month to month depending on donations and deliveries.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 AM–12 PM
 
If Mid Michigan Community Action is closed, the pantry will be closed as well. Find our upcoming closures on our home page.

If you need food more often than once per month, there are other options that may help:

We work with other pantries in our service area. Find local pantries that may be able to provide additional food support.

​Senior Food Programs
Seniors aged 60 and over may qualify for USDA food boxes. Apply at the next distribution near you.

​Head Start Preschool
If you have a child ages 3–5 in Clare or Gladwin Counties, our Head Start Preschool classrooms provide meals and snacks during the school day. Apply today for Head Start Preschool.

​If you aren’t sure which program is right for you, call your local Community Action Center. We’ll help you sort through the options.

Monday-Thursday from 8 AM-4:30 PM
Friday from 8 AM-4 PM
