Community Mental Health for Central Michigan is now offering short-term therapy at no cost to residents in Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland, and Osceola Counties. Community members will have access to up to 4 sessions of free therapy to address mental health needs related to difficulties caused by the pandemic. Contact your local CMHCM office to inquire about this service.
MDHHS has launched a statewide, peer-run warmline for Michiganders living with persistent mental health conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic. It operates daily from 10AM-2AM at 888-733-7753.

For questions about COVID-19, executive orders, or related issues, contact the state COVID-19 hotline by phone: 1-888-535-6136, text: 66746, or email: COVID19@michigan.gov.

Food Opportunities

Commodity food distributions are continuing as scheduled with a few changes to ensure the health and safety of all involved: Please remain in your vehicle when you arrive at the site. We will be checking you in from your car and will place your food box in your trunk.  If the line is too full to safely enter, please park your vehicle in a parking spot and wait. Do not block entrances or exits with your vehicle. We will remain on site until all customers have received their food. Private site distributions will also continue. We will modify our procedures for each unique setting. View the senior calendar here and the quarterly calendar here.
Check out the Michigan Department of Education's interactive map showing where families can receive two meals a day for each child from 0-18 and students with disabilities from 18-26.
Michigan is the first state to provide food to families affected by school closings caused by COVID-19 under the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (P-EBT). Families with children who receive free or reduced-cost lunches at school qualify for this program.
If you are in need of food, contact 2-1-1 for referrals to local food pantries in your area.

Boredom Busters

Filling the day can seem daunting as we look at staying home for a while, so we're gathering activities and virtual experiences we can enjoy from the comfort and safety of our living rooms!
