Walk for Warmth

Every winter, Walk for Warmth raises funds and awareness for emergency utility assistance across mid Michigan. Living without heat is a dangerous reality for many of our neighbors facing utility shut-offs and cold furnaces. Every dollar raised will help provide emergency heating assistance to local families in Mid Michigan.

Walk Your Way!

We organized a virtual Walk for Warmth so you can form a team from anywhere! Everyone can participate regardless of health status or ability to travel to specific locations. You can participate in Walk for Warmth by donating, fundraising, or walking locally.

How does the virtual walk work?

1. Click Join on the CrowdRise page. Form a team of your friends, neighbors, and family. Or choose to participate on your own, knowing you are part of something bigger!

2. Pick a date and location for your Walk for Warmth in February. Choose your distance: you may walk around the block, do a 1K walk at the local mall, or even try a longer walk or run around your neighborhood. Do what you can. There is no distance too short.

3. Take a photo of you or your team and share it on social media or email it to us at contactus@mmcaa.org for a chance to be featured on our social media pages. We invite you to use #IWalkforWarmth. Add it to your Team page. Tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

How do I donate to Walk for Warmth?
