A huge thank you to the incredible students from CMU’s College of Medicine for their generosity and hard work!

These future healthcare professionals held a drive to collect personal needs items for our Clare County Food Pantry and packed boxes for our USDA food box program, which serves individuals aged 60 and older. Your commitment to giving back and supporting our community is inspiring!

We are so grateful for your dedication to making a difference! Thank you, CMU!

Thank you to Isabella Bank staff for volunteering at our commodities warehouse for their Compassion into Action day.
Picture
By the end of the day, the volunteers packed 1008 food boxes, sorted 14 pallets of donations, and assembled 186 bags of personal needs items!

We couldn’t do what we do without volunteers, and the Isabella bank crew did an amazing job helping us continue to deliver our commodities programs.

Tax Preparation Program Received Honorable Mention in Rural Initiatives from the IRS

9/25/2020

Congratulations to our tax preparation volunteers for helping our program be recognized with an Honorable Mention in Rural Initiatives for our efforts to bring our tax preparation services to the rural areas in our counties!

In the recent IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Partner Recognition Ceremony, our program was one of twenty-two partners from the thousands nationwide to receive an Honorable Mention in this category, and one of only two Michigan VITA partners to receive recognition in any category.

We would like to give a special thank you to our volunteers who make this program what it is, especially this year when the season ended differently than we had hoped or planned. We owe so much to our volunteers, who give this program their time and support, and thank you all for your contributions.

If you would like to volunteer with us, visit our volunteering page to learn more.

Thank you to all of our tax preparation volunteers!

Today for our community spotlight, we'd like to thank a few organizations and individuals for working together to make and arrange a donation of water and sanitizer: Michigan Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Sunrise Church of Midland, Terry Wilson, and Bay Area Baptist Association of Michigan.
We have been incredibly moved by so many coming together to help their neighbors in need with everything going on, and these folks are a stellar example of that!

From Southern Baptist Disaster Relief who obtained the sanitizer and water to Sunrise Church of Midland who stored it to Terry Wilson who brought his forklift to load these items onto our truck so we could transport them to aid in our relief efforts in Gladwin, they have all truly made a difference in their community.

Meet Cameron, our latest Community Spotlight!

Cameron volunteers for Walk for Warmth. He went to our Gladwin County Volunteer Picnic last month and was so excited for the cookbook that was in his appreciation bag. He's been making a new recipe out of it every day! Here he is with the cookies he made from the recipe in the cookbook.
