Cassandra, a September Featured Employee
Congratulations to our September featured employee, Cassandra!

Cassandra is a Family Service Associate with our Preschool Head Start program. She helps support children and teachers in the classroom and works to connect families with all kinds of resources.
We were able to speak with Cassandra about what she loves about working with the agency, and this is what she had to say:

"I love helping and supporting families that are in need and who are not as fortunate when it comes to retrieving basic needs and just knowing that I can incorporate some positivity into their day. I love being able to support the teaching staff during the school year and interacting with the children."

Thank you for all you do for our children and families, Cassandra!

Patti, Health Coordinator, celebrates 25 years with Mid Michigan Community Action
Congratulations to Patti, our Health Coordinator for Head Start and Early Head Start, for 25 years at Mid Michigan Community Action!
As Health Coordinator, Patti connects families with information and resources to help children stay up to date with their well child exams and physicals, dental exams, immunizations, along with any medical or dental follow-up to help ensure children are ready to learn.

We were able to speak with Patti about what she loves about working at the Agency, and this is what she had to say:

"One person cannot do this task alone—it takes a team working together. This is what makes working at Community Action so rewarding. We have all these resources under one big umbrella. Every department in our Agency works for the same goal: 'Helping People, Changing Lives.'"

Thank you, Patti, for all that you do for our children, families, and communities!

2022 Leadership Development Institute Graduates
Congratulations to our 2022 Leadership Development Institute graduates!

Michigan Community Action conducts the Leadership Development Institute each year to hone the leadership skills of staff in the Community Action Network.

Graduates of the program are trained in management, communication, human resources, strategic planning, advocacy, and leadership.

We are immensely proud of the accomplishments of our graduates during the program, and we are eager to see how they bring all they learned to our agency!
